Pipi4 Help
Pipi4
PIPI4 is NZERN's computer system about ecological restoration. PIPI
uses NZ$1,000,000 of donated software, took 20,000 volunteer hours from
1997 -2007 to design and build, and is hosted by ERIS.
PIPI4 stores information
and is used to publish a number of websites including www.bush.org.nz
. Members of NZERN are able to login using a personal password and change
this information.
Help System
This is the help system for users of PIPI4. It describes and compares
the different editions and features of PIPI4 and provides instructions
on how to use PIPI4. It will be updated as members make use of the features
and raise issues on the Pipi
User Support Forum.
Wekanui Bush
The help system will be linked to a demonstration website about the ficticious
world of Wekanui Bush, where Joe Bloggs, a member of the Wekanui Lions
Club is busy restoring Wekanui Bush with the help of his mates and family.
Language
PIPI4 and its help system is provided in the English language. Eventually
PIPI4 and its help system will be available in Maori and other languages
as the database of words that PIPI4 uses is translated by volunteers.
